おはよう、諸君。
後一時間足らずで、諸君ら１４０名は、極東に向かって旅立ち、史上最強の敵と交戦する。
時を同じくして、世界各地の米兵たちも、他の３５隻の原子力空母で、同様の救助に向かう行う手はずだ。

諸君がまもなく赴く戦いは、人類史上最強の救出活動となるだろう。そう、人類史上最強の・・・・
人類・・・・・この言葉は、今日、我々全員にとって、新たな意味を持つ。地球に対する今回の暴虐行為に少しでも意味があるのなら、
それは我々人類が共有するものの大きさに気づかせてくれた、という点につきるだろう。
今回の侵略は、この惑星で共に生きるのがういうことかを、新たなる視点から見直させてくれた。
人間同士の無数の差異など瑣末事でしかないことを痛感させ、共通の利益というものの意味を実感させてくれた。
そしてさらに、歴史の方向を変え、人間であることがどういうことかをも定義し直してくれた。
今日このときより、世界の諸民族と諸国家がいかに深く相互に依存しあっているかを、我々は決して忘れることがないだろう。

諸君は日本を愛し、この日本を守り抜くために自らの才能と技術を差し出し、命すら投げ出す覚悟を固めている。
諸君と共に戦列に立てることを、私は心から誇りに思う。

３月１１日は日本の祝日だけではなく、地球上のあらゆる国家が肩を組み、こう叫ぶ日となるだろう。
”我々は決して従容と死を受け入れたりしない！我々は生き続ける！生き続けてみせる！”と。
その日こそ、我々は真の独立記念日の祝うのだ！
